Your Guide To Bowls
Lawn Bowls is a sport played across the globe and is governed by World Bowls. See our useful information tab for links to World Bowls and Bowls Europe.

In Spain there are 3 main areas where the sport is played - Costa Blanca, Almeria, Costa Del Sol. Bob Donnelly, a long standing member of San Miguel Bowls Club, is Director of bowls in Spain and reports to the Federation in Madrid and Valencia.

Levante Lawn Bowls - Costa Blanca
Levante Lawn Bowls (LLB) is the body organising the sport on the Costa Blanca.
There are a number of officers who deal with the day to day running of the sport in the area, but the Committee is made up of all the clubs affiliated to LLB. For more information visit their website: https://levantelawnbowls.wixsite.com/llb-spain

Playing Bowls
The concept of the sport is quite simple - get as many of your bowls closer than the opposition to the small round object called the Jack. Sounds easy!!!
As in all sports, there are a number of rules which need to be followed and these are called The Laws of the Sport of Bowls. The buttons below will take you to the pages showing points to get you started and etiquette when playing in more serious games. More detailed information on the Laws can be found on the Costa Blanca Umpires and Markers Association (CBUMA) website: https://costablancaumpire.wixsite.com/cbuma
